WELCOME TO THE ENERGY LEADERS NETWORK
To the Energy Leaders Network Family:
When we began the transition to ELN, little did we know just how challenging it was going to be. With the scaling back in the regional oil and gas industry, COVID-19, and the regular challenges involved with a re-branding, we really needed to think outside the box to make sure we brought value to our members and partners. For an organization largely designed around face-to-face networking, you can imagine the hurdles that needed to be overcome. For me personally, the time since the initial shut-down in March has been a mixed bag. My 40th birthday party was cancelled (March 14th - the day after the initial shut-down!) and my law firm was forced to undertake some re-structuring, but at the same time I was able to start working from home - this added hours to my day and allowed me to spend more time with my family.
We have all likely experienced similar things and persevered. It has been the same for the dedicated volunteers and staff of ELN. We delivered several virtual events over the past 6 months, as well as a few in-person opportunities (when possible). We have continued to market for our sponsors when we can. We have started cultivating educational content for you, to help with conducting the business of energy in Southwest Pennsylvania and surrounding areas. We have continued to innovate in our offerings to bring the best content and opportunity to our membership.
With the onset of new governmental regulations regarding gatherings and travel, we regret to inform you all that we are suspending in-person events for the time being. You will soon be receiving a planned schedule of ELN events for 2021. As of now, the nature and content of those events will be decided on a case-by-case basis, depending on the regulatory environment at the time. We will continue to innovate in our offerings to you in order to make sure the ELN community remains safe, secure and well-connected.
